The 2026 Singapore Art Design Competition invites designers everywhere to make work that restores — calming the mind, caring for the body, and reconnecting people with one another and with nature.
Long before it hung on walls, art was a way of coping — of marking grief, finding rhythm, and making sense of the world. The Art of Healing returns design to that role.
We are looking for work that lowers the pulse and lifts the spirit: gentle identities, images that comfort, spaces that hold us, objects that care, and digital experiences that give the mind room to rest.
Creative directions
Entries are welcomed across the full breadth of art and design. These directions are starting points, not limits.
Identities, posters and graphic systems that calm and reassure.
Drawing, painting and photography that comforts and restores.
Interiors, gardens and public places that help people breathe.
Objects and materials made with care for everyday wellbeing.
Film, interaction and experiences that give the mind rest.

The archive
The latest ceremony continued the tradition at the Singapore Institute of Management, bringing winners together with invited experts and faculty for presentation and exchange.

October, at the Singapore Institute of Management. 30 award winners, six industry experts and three professors joined 266 students and faculty for a day of sharing and industry–academic exchange.

Held amid COVID-19, the 2021 edition ran an awards ceremony at the Sands Art Museum on 3 December, without a public works exhibition that year.

The inaugural competition closed at the Sands Museum of Art, Briefing Hall 3. Five senior designers joined as sharing mentors and 36 winners were invited, followed by a showcase of 112 outstanding works.
